The UKSRG has the following objectives:

  • Promote a wider understanding of pedestrian slipping
  • Identify and disseminate ways to reduce pedestrian slipping
  • Promote the use of appropriate means of measuring and assessing slip resistance, particularly by means of the group’s guidelines
  • Monitor and encourage research on pedestrian slipping
  • Monitor developments in the field of pedestrian slipping
  • Commission appropriate technical work

Responsibilities as a member

  • Adhere while conducting Pendulum Test to the current Groups Guidelines
  • Support any Slip, Trip and Falls prevention measurements in your area of expertise
  • Don’t represent the Group, except if in an officially assigned role
  • Always act in a responsible manner so as not to bring the Group into disrepute

 

The membership fee per year is:

Full member – £250 plus VAT
Second member – £125 plus VAT
Overseas member – £100 (no VAT)
